Can someone post a picture of their dash. I want to be sure I don't have any extra holes before I recover the metal. I had a picture saved on my computer someplace... I filled the radio hole some pervious owner hacked in.. I'm going to havethe kids build a bitchin CD in the rear trunk out of sight. I'm not fond of stereo junk, but the cars not for me.

TIA

Thanks dan, nice looking dash. I need a Bug eye dash photo. Is there any difference between a 58 and 59?

Re: Need a picture of a unmolested dash.

Better!

Re: Need a picture of a unmolested dash.

I think this is pretty near standard layout, finish may be non-standard though.

Re: Need a picture of a unmolested dash.

Looks preaty good to me.

I have a file of Bugeye photos that I refere to when restoreing. Sometimes a pic is better than a thousand words.

I call them Bugeye reference. Have lots and lots.

Our first rebuild was a 1986 Toyota Supra. We had never seen so many lines hoses, fuel injection, vacume lines. My son got the bright idea to use digital pics. He took pics from every angle, removed a layer, took pics. etc. Until we pulled the motor. Then to get it back together, we just reversed the process. E-bay is a great resource too since so many people post pics of their motors. Of course some of ya'll's cars are a little difficult to find there (which again is why this forum is worth its weight in gold!)

I'm planning on an engine pull soon, so I'll be taking all this advice about digi photos for sure.

Re: Need a picture of a unmolested dash.

Rick, here's a bare '59 dash. All cutouts are original except the toggle switch lower right center, and the small hole at the bottom between the fuel gauge and the speedometer. There is a pushbutton installed in the hole for the windscreen washer.
