I just ran out of room and the snow is going to fly soon. So a quick call for some extra storage it came this week. All 48 feet long,9.6 high and 8.6 inside this should do for a couple of weeks.

Cheers

Mark

Very cool.

Earlier this year a friend of mine stumbled on a local guy who was using old school buses for storage. He had a bunch of MGA bodies neatly stacked in them if I remember the pictures correctly.

It looks like you'll have plenty of room!

Sweet ! and your construction time was very minimal next to my 12 days to build 2 sheds ! talk about instant storage!... now I do have to ask, have you already filled the barn behind the trailer with cars & parts ? ;-)

My cousin's next door neighbor has an old shipping container in his yard. It's been there for a couple of years. Smack Dab in the middle of Chicago.

I've thought about buying one for awhile and putting it on the side of my house.

I bought two 45' freight trailers for the same purpose. Paid $2800 for the pair and both have lift gates. I got a deal at the auction. You're gonna LOVE the plywood liner. It acts as insulation. Throw a heat in and use it as a work space.

Delivery was extra

The unit is all insulated under the plywood.

Really, that's cool. Mine aren't insulated under the wood, but then again, they're not shipping containers.

I was driving by the Port of Seattle a couple of days ago and could see hundreds of shipping containers along with many trailers. Things are slow so now would be the time to buy.

Sad thing is the sell them for $200 each to their "buyers".

Yes, that's right, it's not a typo.

I have a buddy who was in charge of a port (retired now). He's not one to B.S about things.

They sell 'em cheap cause they have so many of them and the buyers have to buy them in lots of 20-50.

The price is expected to go up now that people are using them for housing.

$2500 for a 9.6 w/ insulation is a good deal.

I would worry about moisture inside them during the Canadian winter.

Ain't th' Canadian winter that'd be an issue, rather th' Canadian spring. But that don't happen 'til July most years.
