My MK2, as part of 30+ years of gas station maintenance, ended up with a single-speed wiper motor (retaining the two-speed switch and wiring), but with all the "park" portion removed.
This wiper motor also seems to have less "sweep" than I would consider normal.
That said, I have obtained (some time ago), a 2-speed motor assembly, with the "missing" park portion, but, MISSING the top cover plate, bolts, and brushes.
I can rob the existing unit of said parts, except the cover plate is totally different (slot in the top with spade pins).
Anybody have a burned out unit I can get brushes, plate and the two long through bolts from?
I can then rebuild on the bench, and swap, instead of pulling it and mucking about for a period of time trying to "modify" the wrong top cover plate.
I determined two years ago when I got this beastie that everything I did to it, especially under the bonnet, would be "right".
It has been an experience.....
Thanks.
Dave
