Miles Driven so far this summer

I just turned 2500 miles for this summer. It seemed I would never get or keep it on the road. Traded out my steering rack, tie rods, fan. But I still am running the wheels off of it.

How many miles has every one else driven so far this summer?

Well, I had about 1,200 on mine after the engine rebuild, but I lost a month with family visits and vacations in July. I was getting all ready for the fall season of shows and tours, but the accident put that on hold, probably until spring.

I'll just get it done and done right and have it ready for cruising next year.

Had about 700 on the *8 until the knocking sound. Have added about 75 since.

0 problems with the head gasket forced me to pull the head and then I found several slightly burned valves. I ordered the valves 3 times before we got the correct valves for my oddball head and now I see that I need to get some spring shims.... maybe next summer.

I finished the rebuild around the middle of May and have 3300 on since then. It's running the best ever and I'll be autocrossing tomorrow. :driving:

I don't really know, but I would be surprised if it is more than 200 miles. That is entirely down to the wettest summer on record here. I'm hoping for a dry autumn!

Back and and fourth to work, assorted weekend drives, drives back and fourth to differnet mechanics ...
(Due to defective clutch)

I'd say about 600 miles +-
hoping to double that before the winter!

About 2500 on the 6 and 1000 on the 8.
Neither are on the road right now though, so that number's not climbing as I would have hoped...

About 800 on the TR8 and about 300 on the TR3. I just sold the Miata this weekend, so the numbers should increase on the Triumphs over the next month or so. The Miata was getting the most mileage, about 2000.

Just pulled in the garage with 472 since last Friday's launch date. Will finish the 500 mile break-in tomorrow and get to the shop early in the week for oil change and inspection then watch out-here we come!
The car has been everything I had hoped for-it is actually fun and engaging to be driving rather than something of a chore or monotonous sameness. Every shift, every growl of the exhaust, every climb up the rpm( albeit only to 3000 so far) is FUN!

4167 miles so far. Hope to get a few more before winter. No problems so far, other than a rear hub outer seal started to let the grease out. Wacked a new seal in a week ago and all is good.

Are the winters that cold in your area?
Surprisingly yes. Last winter was a just bit colder than normal and we had snow which stuck around for a couple of days. The rest of the winter is a bit warmer but driving around in a somewhat leaky car without a heater really isn't that much fun. Maybe my next project should be getting the heater to work.

I used to average 5800 miles every summer for the past 17 summers, but this year, because of gas prices and all the rain we have had, I have only driven 2075 miles. For about 6 weeks we had rain on 5 or 6 days every week. In another 200 miles, I'll have driven my 1958 TR3A 100,000 miles since I completed my restoration in 1990.
