T-Series MGTF Windshield

I am currently attempting to replace all the rubber on the windshield and frame of my MGTF, including the rubber pad set that fit between the side brackets and cowl. Is there information available instructing how to remove the windshield frame assembly? I am also intending to have the components re-chromed. Those of you that have gone through this process, do you have suggestions what parts are better to just replace with new, and what parts are best to chrome? Everything on the car, to my knowledge is original and in good condition. But are some of the parts better to replace rather than re-chrome?

Thanks for any comments or recommendations.

Magyar - I don't believe that any of the windshield parts are available anywhere, so your only choice is to have it chromed.

Regarding chrome work in general, new chrome pieces (if available) are much cheaper than having original ones rechromed, but, if you put a chrome piece that has been purchased next to one that has been rechromed, the purchased piece is going to look like crap.
Cheers,

Just my 2 cents worth but, if the original parts are available or NOS parts, restore them and you'll much happier than replacing them with the Chinese junk that in no way can compare with the originals. As Dave said, there are no new windshield parts available. TFs are worse than TDs for some parts, seeing how they were only made for two years.
To me, putting Chinese parts on a British T series car is not exceptable! :nonono: :nonod: But of course, that's just me. PJ

But since it is now a Chinese company wouldn't putting Chinese parts on an MG be necessary?..... never mind  :cryin:

The reality is that you're probably already using far east parts, no matter the car model. Much of the stuff I get for my various cars are marked with China, India, or other countries in the same general area. Just the way things are anymore.

Being that If I flew to China we would fly west.
Should us on this coast then call it the Far West?
