I've worked on one.(actually a LHD limo) But I don't own one.It belonged to a local resturant called "London Underground". I really liked it. It would have been a great car to bop around in. AWSOME turning radius.

Actually as an fyi the only production vehicle with a tighter turning radius than a London Taxi is the Triumph Herald. Annoyed the heck out of my (Taxi driver) neighbour when I told him that - I had one at the time - especially as we had to try them out side by side. (officially the difference is about an inch I seem to remember).

A great piece of useless information to start spouting if you want to drive someone away at a party

Welcome aboard! Yes, there are London Taxi enthusiasts here. My wife has a 1966 Austin FX4D. There is a group based in the UK. They are interested in restoration and preservation of the cars. The website is posted in the thread listed above. T.T.

FX4,
I just saw the posting asking about members with London Taxi Cabs.
In addition to my MGB/GT and Midget, I also own two Taxis.

A 1967 Austin London Taxi and a 1958 Austin London Taxi. The 67 has been restored. The 58 is a wreak and I am still undecided if it is worth restoring.
I have driven the taxi to a number of car shows and events around the country, including Cleveland and Baltimore from my home in Michigan.

I have entered a number of car shows in the area and have taken home a number of best import awards.

My brother and I have also driven the Taxi in a fund raising the past two years to raise money for children with diabetes and cancer.
