Little old lady up-date

Talked to the mechanic who did some work on the car. She wants $7500 for the car. I was hoping she didn't know the value of the car either. The mechanic who worked on the car said it runs great and is very quiet. Tough to here it run even when gassing it.

Re: Little old lady up-date

Yeah,
But that's a fair asking Price. Counter with 6500 and settle for 7000. If you can afford it.
And then /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Re: Little old lady up-date

Yes, go for it.....the asking price really is fair, so even if she won't budge, you will be doing alright.......Offer $6,500 as suggested, but assure her that the car will be going to a really good home, and that you will look after it the way it should be (and I know that you would) and it wouldn't hurt to offer to come over and take her for a ride in it (or even let her drive it if she wanted to) every now and again......may just make all the difference.

Thanks for the threads. Not planning on buying it but can relay messages to the mechanic or her if somebody is interested in it. Don't have the room. 78 MGB, 81 TR7, 85 TVR 280i ,99 Nissan Frontier all fighting over the 1 car carport.
