Wow!

Seems like a car that needs to get out more often, I think sitting idle all those years hasn't done it much good... Certainly an interesting car, I'm surprised it sold for as low as it did (relatively speaking :wink:smile:, I would have thought it would be worth more than that...

Agreed - good thing they didn't make any more. The regular tubolare was such a good looking car.....that thing looks like some hyperthyroid ferret in comparison.

Make up your own minds. The prototype has an underslung jaw, oddball wheels, a side window equalled in ugliness only by some of Jem Marsh's worst creations (think early Marcos)...

The TZ1 is a thing of beauty. No doubt that they dumped the right one and produced the right one.

PS - a friend owns a couple of Ferrets - don't ask me why. Although I'll bet that if you saw one coming up behind you, you'd be inclined to move over and let it by!

That TZ is a cool looking car.

But who the heck would ever put an STP sticker on it?!?!

<span style="font-style: italic"> What next? Mooneyes?</span>

My absolute favourite ALFA is the Giulietta Spider.
I (very briefly) owned a '58 Spider, but I was too poor to keep her.

Alfas have always held a special place with me. I also had a Giulietta - a '59 back in '71 when I was in college and couldn't afford it.

The first sports car race I saw was in Corpus Christi sometime around '62, held at an old airstrip. The man next door to us had a shop, and he was the mechanic for someone who had a Giulietta. He invited me (12 years old at the time) to go to a couple events, and I was hooked forever!

Probably never be able to afford one now, but if I ever get the chance...
