Laptop keyboard question

Thought I'd ask, maybe somebody knows the answer. Does anybody know how to reattach keys on a laptop? My fiancee doesn't know how she did it, but she popped one of the keys off my 6 month old laptop :(. It has these two plastic levers that surround the membrane button, and there are 4 little hooks on the underside of the key cover. Trouble is, everything I've Googled says to just push it back on, but it looks like something has to hold those levers up in the process. Nothing appears to be broken, but I'd rather not have to take it to a shop. It's a Gateway laptop if that's any help.

Dave,

Can you post pictures showing the underside of the key and the keyboard? I know some of the larger keys on full sized keyboards have levers (usually wire formed pieces) that need to be raised when reattaching the key.

I think I fixed it. It didn't look like the plastic hooks had broken, but it appeared that you hook one side and push the other side down to snap it on the fingers, so voila, it's reattached. Seems to be holding too, it hasn't come off typing on it yet. Thanks for the info!
