Is it sad that I would want this?

Wires, RHD, overdrive on a '67 BGT. Too far away for me, but it would sure be fun to give it a go. Quite possibly my ultimate configuration. Probably good it isn't closer, or I'd be bidding on it sight unseen, never a good idea for a car in bits.

This car is only about 20 miles from me.

I'm already trying to figure out if I could get it here for a reasonably cost. Can't afford it, wife would kill me (or have me committed).

That, and I'd have to sell the Bugeye to afford it. Still, can't help but think about it. I'm horrible... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Drew,
You want me to look after it for a few days for you?
BID ON IT!!!!
You know you want to.

It'll cure your itch for RHD.
Shall I put the kettle on?

My parts car MGB is a '66 with wires and OD but the body is PURE RUST!! If you find a solid body I'll sell you the parts car cheap and you can make your own wrong hand drive car.

I'm surprised tony hasn't already gone to pick it up.

I really thought about it - until he posted the last set of photos...to me, its a parts car - albeit a good RHD example!

All lusting aside, what I need to do (and what I am doing) is finishing up the engine swap in the Bugeye. Got to see what that's like before I start dreaming of another car.

eBay is dangerous this way, gets you thinking with all these options one click away. Realistically, way too much of a project, and I've got no room to store it while I finish up the Bugeye. I took a nice walk around the town this afternoon, and that cleared my head up quite a bit. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

I hadn't seen those extra photos, makes the decision so much easier. No rust work for me.

Now I feel better--funny how not spending money makes you feel temporarily richer. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Not at all. I have one myself! But mine no longer has wire wheels.

Steve, your car is a bit of an inspiration for me -- just the sort of thing I have in mind. Other things to finish up first...

I've got the wires but not the right hand drive.

Doc, I thought "all CB's must be saved". My '74 is a total rust bucket and I thought you said go ahead & fix her up.

I think he was just saving my from myself. I think someone should save it, it's just not going to be me. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Thanks. Not going to fix the '74 anyway. Just way too far gone and I cannot save them all.

BTW. there is a set of Steves rims on ebay ending momentarily. Thought it was his at first because they are leaning on a grey GT.

No, some must sacrifice themselves so others can live! Remember what Mr. Spock said before he entered the anti-matter chamber.....
