Well, I enjoyed my stay with my relatives in Indy. the weather new I was coming and warmed up for most of the two weeks I was out there. It was cold the first day or two and then had to suffer temps in the low 60s. Then this AM, we got the kin folk together for a farewell breakfast and the weather got ~cold~ on me. 30F with 30MPH winds, and ... ***GASP*** SNOW was falling. Well, it wasn't falling as much as it was streaking across the sky...

I was in Muncie, IN. Funny thing... I was watching a bunch of car shows on Speed while I was out there, and they got to talking about various Muscle cars, and how some of them had a "Muncie" transmission in them. Later in the week, I went to visit my Uncle, and he lives near the Muncie manual transmissions factory. The place is closed down now, but I found it fascinating.

I had fun on my trip, home made lasagna more than made up for the cold weather I suffered... But I'm glad to be back home where snow is a 4 letter word... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
 
Glad to learn you're home safe and warm. Next time you're in Florida we'll get 'smits to assemble a lasagne... finally got her to a point where she makes it as good as my Italian Gramma's was... only took 25 years. Hard-headed Uki girl. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Geez...you were only about 3 hours from me! Indiana is FULL of automotive history...Muncie transmissions, Jasper engines, etc etc etc. You'll have to check out the museum inside the oval in Speedway on one of your trips.
 
While you were gone, it was freezing temperatures here in L.A. overnight. There was frost all over everything a couple days ago when I left for work. You came back just in time for 80 MPH hot winds.

A few years ago, Jerri & I did the Indiana loop vavation - from Indianapolis to Studebaker to Auburn/cord to all the little museums in between - took a complete week...but what fun!

The museum behind the ACD Museum is a great collection as well!
 
'Nother thing I got a glimpse of while out visiting cemeteries, I saw a nice Jag E-Type and a MGB GT at a shop being restored. Then there was a CB MGB sitting outside one of the department stores at the local mall. Them's were the only classic Brit mobiles that I saw out there.
