And one (MG B) I just flat pulled over so we could talk. 1979 rubber bumper, with real candy apple paint. had a stage one engine with a webber, cam, etc. Nice little daily driver. And yes Basil I gave him the site address. Another USAF guy is always good.

I do hope I see more LBCs around here in the coming months. To date, the only other LBC I've seen here is a '72 Midget. I stopped to check it out; first thing the owner said to me was "Hey! You want you another one of them MG cars?" He said he became tired of having to do tuneups and setting points all the time.

His solution? Drop a 1.6L engine/4 speed tranny from an old Geo Metro into the car. I should've asked him what he did with that old 1275...

I thought GEO metro's had 3 cylinder engines.

Thanks for the kind words about my baby.

She's a House of Kolor Candy Apple Red (not stock) over their Gamin (may not be spelled right) Gold base.

The Brit-tek Stage one kit is less than 2 weeks old and I'm very happy with it. Not as quick low range as I was hoping for, but 2k it really starts to breath right and builds power up to over 5.5k. I'm sure that all the parts could be got from the other fine distrib but seeings how I didn't know exacly what I wanted (other than to be lazy) since they had packages predefined it was easy. They're home grown tips sheet was very helpful also.

Hoping to get some good pics soon, I'll post if anyone's interested.

Thanks again for the good words.

I assume that he kept the car as a rear wheel drive; I'd rather deal with having to do constant tuneups than convert a Midget to FWD. All I know is that he told me the engine/trans was a 1.6 from a Metro.

He lifted the hood and let me see the whole bit; it's not something I would do personally, but it looked like he did a decent job of it. The car ran pretty decently too.
