I got my first Classic motorsports....

...magazine by subscription yesterday! Woohoooo!

I wish I had gotten the MGB GT issue, but no dice. Oh well. This issue has RB MGB's listed at #4 as the cars to watch for this year (as investments!). I wish I had money for some of the others (porsche 356 coupes, etc), but I'm glad I have one in the top 5! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've been hesitating subscribing as the cost is just a bit higher than the (pretty much free $10) american magazine subscriptions, but Ilove that magazine. I'm picking up the MG comparison issue sometime soon, and maybe I'll finally cave.

Isn't it interesting how the Euro mags might say the RB "B" is the one to look out for, and list it with something like the 911S (from the 70's-80's), the Lancia Fulvia, Alfa Montreal, Renault Alpine, and a host of other great cars that are stratospherically beyond the price range of a good B? It either says something about the B, or just availability in general!

The MGB has a heck of a lot going for it in terms of desirability. Parts availability, easy to work on, reliability,good-looking.......The rubber bumper cars are considered to be more practical to live with, too.

My brother has a 911 and takes it to be fixed and serviced when needed. I just pull out the tool chest and turn a few wrenches, so I'm constantly playing with it in some form or another.
