Hey Banjo!! What did you say? 8 degrees at home??

82* today and sunny in Crypt Car land.

I'm still needing someone to help install the
clutch in the Crypt Car. Maybe here is an incentive
for you to use that airline ticket with your name on it.

I flew Mike Masters down from Georgia to help me finish
the install of the total car new wire harness. As an
extra bonus payment, Wendy and I took Mike to Rincon for
a weekend. A majot surfing capital of the world.

Here is a pretty slick slidshow of Mike's visit with
us to Rincon, Puerto Rico. Just say the word and you
are HERE!

How can you stand to live there? It must be VERY hard!!!

Ah, so Cryptee reappeared? hehehehe

40's in north Alabama.

3 degrees this morning as I set out on a club romp. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

At least its in the positive side of the fahrenheit scale.

Shawn- if it's below 70* I personally
do not consider that dwellable temperature.

I'll take bikini babes over LandsEnd
Parka and snow boots girls any day of
the week!

*BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG* (head on keyboard)
16 bloody degrees here! and it's not helping sitting here watching Pirates of the Caribbean (again)
You're gonna wear me down eventually, aren't ya?
I've got vintage British jobs starting to stack up. I've got my brothers TR6 that needs attention, a friends MKIX Jag that needs some tranny work (payment is a good engine for the MKVIII!! Woo Hoo!)
boy oh boy.. I'm gonna have to get a furnace for the shop or something.
This is eatin at me...

Banjo, you need one of those old kerosene "torpedo" heaters we used to use up in the hills of Pa. to heat our garages in winter. A bit smelly, but they used to get us toasty!

Ahhh.. a salamander. Brutal but effective. I actually have a line on a mobile home furnace. But that'd require me to buy a big 'ol propane tank. And I just don't have the funds for that. And then of course I'd need to at least plug up the cracks, much less insulate the shop to keep the cold air out. The biggest thing is if the structure is even worth doing anything to. It really needs to be torn down, and rebuilt. (but that's another thing I really don't have funds for)

Warmed up to 16F or so here today. If it gets above 20F tomorrow, I'll be able to work out in the garage. No, really... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Go for it, Ben. JetBlue, about $250 round trip, most days. I'll go with you, I've got enough SCUBA gear for both of us...BTW, just gave away a salamander, wish I'd known you wanted one.

15Âş and windy. No LBC work for me today although I could work on my carb rebuild in the house.

It's cold and have 4" of snow, but it doesn't matter.
There are parts of the midwest (again!) that have gone through another ice storm and plenty without power, I want to wish them good luck.
Snow and cold I can handle, Ice is evil.

Only got to 31 last night--have to work on herself's van before I can get to my GT. I am going to be rebuilding the "barn" into a shop this summer--lots of concrete work (footings, slab, etc) then I can work in the CA cold (with a wood heater).

So we got about another two inches at the Loseke Manor last night. Thats the fifth week in a row. The snow doesn't bother me. The bitter cold temps are getting old though. Our average temps are running about 15 degrees below normal.

Were also going to have a bumper crop of potholes this spring. Some huge pits are already starting to appear.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:]That ice fishin' looks like a whole lot more fun than poor Dale fishin' for 100 lb Tarpon in 82* sunshine.[/QUOTE]

I've never been to PR - which one of those in the photo is the 100lb Tarpon? hehehehe

You'll never catch me out ice fishing! Not a fisherman to begin with. Especially not in the dead of hard water and frostbite season.
Ice skating/ hockey, mebbe. Ice racing, definatly! But not for some stinky fish.
Now hangin out in the bay, under the sun, goin' after some 100 Lb fish! I may easily be persuaded to enjoy that kind of fishing.
Nice pic Dale! you sure know how to push buttons, don't ya! hehehehehehehehehe

Tinster
stop using the photos of my local beach!!!
It's a bit cooler than usual today, about 32C expected. Pity it's a work day.
Regards
Craig
