From a previous post (last week) I was saying my new engine had low oil pressure at idle when hot, it was running at less than 25 psi. I was running a new stainless aux. oil line to the head and just switched back to my own made aux. line (plastic)that has a tube size I.D. about 1/2 of the stainless. My old line has fixed the problem I now have 40 psi. at hot idle. This backs up what alot of you have said that the aux. stainless line robs too much oil pressure, so I have found a way to keep most of the oil pressure and still provide more oil to the top end. The oil pressure is also about 10psi higher above 2000 rpm.-------------Well I got most of the bugs worked out and it is running good except for one thing, I have the dreaded oil weep out of the back distributor side of the head (between the head and block), it is slight though,--- before assembly I did apply sealer to that area and I have already re-torqued the head to 70lb---now what???
