Hello all, me again-
Does anyone have experience replacing the stamped sheet metal piece that goes across the front of the midget, and into which the hood latch pin and safety catch latch are bolted? I know that it has 2 bolts on each side that are connected to each from fender, but is it tac-welded underneath or something? I disconnected the 4 bolts and loosened the bolts on the saftery latch bar, but it was still solid. I have a new one that came with the car when I bought it, and I would like to install it at some point. My old one looks like it was trampled by rhinos, as my misdget was in a fender bender at some point a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...thx all
