Help! Stolen Red Sports Car

I bought my granddaughter this red sports car for Christmas, but, someone wearing a coordinating outfit and an accomplice (with shades) were seen driving off in it. We need to report the theft, however, my wife insists that it is a Jag, but I'm betting it is an Austin Healey. What do y'all think?

I'm not sure, but I think that may be a very rare Canadian model, the "High-Speed Snowjet Special"
It was only used by some fellow who lived in a secluded section of Baffin Island.
Range was good, around the world in one night, But parts were a little hard to come by.
Also, very good in snow!

Paul, the 53 grille is way too wide and narrow, this grille definitely has a European,no, an international look to it. Andy, I have no idea what that could be, Dave could be on to something. Anyway when my grandaughter first saw it she said ,no not Santa, she said (Car-Vroom- vroom). That was great! Well worth the purchase.

This just in: Noted English inventor Johnny "Jack's a Donut" Thrashwell-Snailby has unveiled his latest creation, the 1952 Thrashwell SI (for Self-Immolation). Conceived in his father's potting shed, the new model represents only the fourth unit ever produced by the factory works at Kebbler Tree on Avon Calling. However, production manager Cedric "You'd think immediate family would buy one" Stubblefield-Goth was quoted as saying "It insures exclusivity, ol' boy".

Altho' considered as a shoo-in for top honors at the 1951 Le Mans race, all Thrashwell competition efforts were unfortunatly suspended after the well-publicized 'Wide-Stance Scratching Incident" at the Melbourne Trials in late 1950.

In related news, American distributors for Thrashwell, Uramaso Motors and Kist Cars, have announced their merger. This is World News with the BBC.

Interesting little "Googled" reference. I hadn't thought of that. But the mythical name of "Thrashwell-Snailby" has stuck with me ever since the late 1960s when I first read Dick O'Kane's How to repair your foreign car; a guide for the beginner, the mechanically inept, and your wife. Still the single most useful book I've ever purchased for repair information on my cars! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/hammer.gif

(Check your local public library, but please return the book when you're done reading it. Hey, I'm a librarian by day, and I'm required to say that. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif )

Forum Members, please, don't you recognize this
vehicle?

Why, pay close attention to the body lines. Actually,
this is a '62 Inflata Christo designed in Italy by
by Virgil Inflatini. Only one was actually produced
in Italy but many a knock-off were made later in
China. Put out of production in most recent months
due to choice of paint with lead traces. If this is
the original, you have a rare find, indeed. If this
is a knock-off, don't let it take the wind out of your
sails.
