Very strange. Explain some more.

Truspoke & Dayton both make spoke wheel conversions for disc wheels. Just guessing, your car was one that was made with bolt on disc wheels instead of knockoff spoked. It was converted to bolt on spoked wheels at some time.

What confuses me is that in your pic, it appears to be showing the back/inside of the wheel. This would normally be bolted to studs projecting from inside to outside of the wheel hub with nuts on the outside. In your pic there appear to be studs inserted from what would normally be the back/inside of the wheel to the to the outside. If so, how is this arrangement attached to the wheel hub/axle? Also there appears to be a center hub sticking out of the back side. Are the wheels mounted backward from normal?

You can do a Google search for Truspoke or Dayton & find lots of info. Nothing that looks like the arrangement in your picture though. Either I'm getting very dense or this is a very unusual arrangement.

the pic must be weird...the studs are mounted thru the hub and the wheels bolt on...the front of the wheel is designed to appear like a real spin-on and what the pic shows is the back side of the spin-on..not protruding but optically deluding

OK, if I tilt my head just right, the whole pic inverts as you say. I'm just deluded. I would still investigate Truspoke some more.

HI Dave, these wheels were an economical method of installing spoked wire wheels on solid disk wheeled cars. They were readily available in the late 80's and early 90's and yes the previous owners of British Wire Wheel handled them during that period. However I do not have a clue as to the souce vendor ---Keoke

If the wheels are Truspoke, they haven't been made for a while. Finding one may be next to impossible. I think your choices are:

Find a wheel on Ebay or somewhere

Have BWW repair your existing wheel _ it can't be that bad, can it?

Get four new bolt on wire wheels from BWW

Get new splined wire wheels & knock off adapters from BWW

Go back to the original disc wheels

Get new original knockoff wire wheels, hubs, & associated hardware from Moss or somewhere similar

The original axles for the disc wheel Healeys may or may not be a different width than the wire wheel axles. Does someone know for sure?

BWW has the parts to do it several ways but it will cost a bunch!

Dayton Direct-Bolt Wire Wheel Conversions
Dayton direct-bolt conversions include 4 chrome wire wheels—sealed tubeless (normally 64, 70, or 72 stainless steel spokes), 4 caps, chrome lugnuts, and wrench. Call or write for Dayton color brochure, or pricing on painted wheels.
Aston Martin (’71–’85, BB5E) $1715
Austin-Healey (BB5E) $1715

Sorry I don't have any better answers, I hope someone on here does.

Dave, I do not think BWW can replace a broken spoke these days much less repair a wheel. You did not see any services offered on their web site did you?.---Keoke

The guy who used to do BWWs rebuilds and repairs is independant and works on all types of wheels (when he is not surfing). He opted to stay in Santa Cruz when BWW relocated. He has replaced spokes and does all my and many other folks wheels in the South SF Bay area.

JB Wire Wheel in Santa Cruz, CA 831-465-061

You might call him and ask him to look over the photos.

JB does good work. He had ww's for many HIGH end cars he was working on. Some very unusual. He also does a fabulous job of truing and balancing so you may want to send him all your wheels and tires. Nice guy too.
