Found a bare NOS Spit 1500 head on fleabay about a year ago. Sent it off to Hap recently to have him work his LBC magic on it. He just called to say it's in the tank getting de-cosmolined.

Thanks guys, Scott glad you're happy with the head, the best part of your job, was not having to clean up a crusty old head, nice working with new parts for a change :yesnod:

Hap had a busy week. I got mine back also. Mine was clean when he got it except where I got too happy with the porting tool and got into the pushrod tube. He did a great job repairing it!

Jan, on your head, I meant to tell you, when I blended the bowl area where the hardened exhaust seats were installed, I noticed that the intake bowl had not been worked very much in the area leading into valve seat area, thats a big flow gain right there, maybe the #1 flow gain, anyway, I knocked that out while I was in there, it should make a nice improvment to your head.

Tom, thanks for the kind words, I enjoyed your visit.
