Today (and yesterday) was the Grand Rapids (28th St.) Metro Cruise. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 15,000 cars and 500,000 people. I had to work all weekend but that's located on 28th St so I got to watch some cars go by, I took the Midget to work (the long long way in which included running the strip at 8:30a.m. believe it or not there a lot of cars and people already. Then it rained. And that killed my chance of joining in tonight. Very cool deal though, everyone groups up and parks all along the 7 mile or so stretch and you cruise, park, talk, cruise park talk, repeat.
Anyone from here hit it? MGs were meeting at Harvey Cadillac dealer but I didn't make it.
Although I have to say the Midget is running just awesome and as fun as the cruise thing is, well, if the day were nice I'd rather be hammer'n though the country side. I've got to go back to teaching next week and although I never stop working in the summer at least I get to commute to that job in the Midget, teaching job not so much.
