The fuel line in my 66 BJ8 terminates in the engine bay, just above the driver's side shock absorber, with a brass fitting, soldered to the steel line. I've replaced the line, but failed to keep a measurement of just how far above the fender opening the fitting is placed. Can't go off the old line, because it was cut out for an in line filter. There is a clamp on the inner fender well for the line. Anyone got a reasonable estimate (or maybe a measurement) of the distance from the clamp to the end of the brass fitting, or from another reference point? I have yet to install the engine, and am concerned about having the right distance from the carbs, so that the standard flex line fits. Make sense? Thanks.
