Front suspension rebuild issues

Hey everyone!

So I was wrapping up the front suspension rebuild today and decided to put the car back on all 4 wheels. When I did, something odd happened. It's hard to describe what it's doing, so I attached a photo below (sorry for the quality, had to use my phone)...

Any idea on what's causing it? It's occurring on both sides. The only causes I can think of are: air in the new unsettled shocks, stiffness from all the new stuff, or the tie rod ends being waaay too far out (I haven't adjusted them yet...)

Thanks in advance for your help!

You put the trunnions on backwards.
I have done it myself more than I care to admit.
Easy fix, just undo the trunnion from the shock and the king pin, flip it around 180* and put it back together.

I still giggle when I think about the first time I made that mistake.
The car looked sooo pitiful.

Whoops! Well at least it's an easy fix. I'll have to remember that for next time

I was so excited to lower it back down and when I saw it not sitting right I immediately thought two things: I'm done for the night and I need a beer!

Hopefully I'll find some time this week to fix it...

Thanks everyone!

That's funny, my car's up on jack stands as I've been rebuilding the suspension and I was wondering why it seemed like the camber was so far off on the front end after putting it back together, I assumed it would fix itself when I put it back on the ground, now I see I did the same thing, back to the garage!

Matt - I was noticing the same camber thing as I was doing mine and figured it would settle out once there was weight on it...it def doesn't. lol

Well I have the opportunity to do it again in a few days. Have done it once, hope not to do it again.Working at home all week as I have to put some night duty, plus get my regular work done as well. Maybe, I can get spindles repainted plus a few other parts and pieces repainted before it all goes back together. Reight now I try to grab 10 minutes here and there to think about Bugsy and do something little every day. He will eventuially get back together.

It helps you get good at doing a suspension tune up. Amazing how we are all so interconnected. I also enjoed putting the bearings in wrong too, nice wobble after all that work.
Must be a SPRIDGET THING!

Maybe wobble is not the correct word, but you could shake the wheel, I think I had the back bearing in the front and the front in the back. Can't remember, all I know is that it was wrong.
