TR2/3/3A Front Fender Installation Tips

I have reviewed the removal steps in the Service Instruction Manual and am ready to start the installation of the front wings. Does anyone out there have any practical steps or hints for the installation process?
Any hints, tips, do not do's or must do's? All would be appreciated!

Dont do what I first did ,attaching fenders and apron without the hood on.I realized I needed to check hood closing and gap adjustment before tightening the apron and fenders.I had to loosen everything back up and pry left side of apron forward while tightening and checking gap between hood front edge and apron.
Also I would check the splash guards without the rubber for an even gap for the seal.If there is a tight spot the fender wont fit right after you install the seal.I had to elongate the slots on the repro guard plates to get this clearance.
And then theres lining up up the door and fender edges.

Thanks Tom, I learned the lesson of loosening things up and then tightining everything up at several points along this frame off restoration. Most recently Monday when a friend of mine and and I installed the windshield. The body was assembled to the redone frame aligned and braced and the whole unit was taken to the body shop. He then re-alligned everything braced the body at strategic points, took it off and I brought the bare frame back to my shop and proceded to hang parts on the frame. Allignment has been checked at strategic points along the way BUT, I will assembly things loosely and check some more as I go along. Hadn't thought about the splash guards so I appreciate that and will loosen them and retighten as I go along.

And do not forget the fender beads,once you are getting close to getting the alignments set. One way to keep the beads in place is with masking tape. But I tried it and had a lot of difficulty in removing all of the tape once the fender was tightened down.
