Oh yeah, I forgot about JDW - hope he comes down....I'll have some extra anyway in case I missed anyone.

...I type really good, but I can't see worth a darn! I'll have BBQ, beer, chips & Cokes...can't think of anything else.....

Is JDW coming? YEA!! I've tried to get him to come over here from time-to-time...maybe we can convince him to do so at Tom's!

David Maples Update...just got an email from him...he's leaving the sunny southern coast of Georgia right now heading for Huntsville where he'll overnight...said he'd see me on the road to Memphis sometimes tomorrow morning!

send John an email inviting him to show up, he already knows about it

Done!

JDW just emailed "That clenches it, I'll be there."

This is way cool! We probably won't have this many people at our club board meeting tonight!!!

Don Smith just emailed "Stuck here in Folsom for remainder of week and Sat. Rush work popped up in Mon meeting. Haven't made it home on time all week. Sorry. Hope you cats have a blast."

DARN! So, that makes 10 right now!

Computer is now programmed (AAA Map'n'Go) & setup for route to Tom's....225.5 miles doorstep to doorstep...tomorrow am will orient computer to satellites, turn on GPS & follow computer screen...

Gee, do I feel inadequate. I'm just gonna jump in my F-150 and point it west!

See you there.

Mickey - 41A South to I-40 to Memphis...at loop turn right with I-40 to state road 14 (Andrew Jackson)....201 miles!

Thanks, Tony - check your program - there's a prettier drive from here down 48/13 to Erin and Waverly - right past Loretta Lynn's place, and shorter, too.

Mickey...you're right...been all over that country...however, I told my program to find the 'quickest' route - timewise! &, I programmed it to start on the Clarksville square & end at Tom's address....

Whole new thread possibility: Merits of computer trip programs. I'm just enough of a doubter to suggest they're not always accurate. Anyway, the little curvy, two-lane roads have too much character to resist, unless I'm in a hurry. And anyway, lately, interstates have had so many construction/wreck delays that they have become anything but convenient.

OK, mini-rant's over. I feel much better now.

due to Laura's dad taking a turn for the worse this morning, I need to stay around here guys. sorry to miss all of you but Tony will understand
