Been there done that. 64 BJ8

Took off the fresh air hose clamp, over a 1 1/2 ago, photo attached. Where on the car does does this clamp get bolted?

Heater blower. Where does the black ground wire get screwed or bolted to the car. Where is the orginal place it was attached?

As always, thank you. Roger

ASUMHLY, Take a look at BigHLY'S storage gismo picture and you will see the heater blower ground wire attached. That clamp has a hole located somewhere on the left hand wheel arch to locate it.There is also a similar clamp located on the RH wheel arch for the heater hose.---Fwiw-Keoke

Roger,

Here is a picture showing the air hose clamp point on the right side along with the heater blower ground screw point. I have a BJ7 and on the left side I don't think there is a air hose clamp. I couldn't find an appropriate mounting nut and read somewhere that the BJ7 only has one.

Cheers,
John

Thank you Keoke. Not sure how to find BigHLY'S storage gismo picture. Is that somewhere else on this site?

I see from the previous post, the clamp goes around the heater blower tube. Maybe I am mistaken about one going around the fresh air tube?

AUSMHLY; HI Go take a look at "Spare Parts Stowage " on page 2 0f this forum very clear there.---Keoke

The part number of the clamp for the cold air duct is:AHH 5714 parts book does not differenciate between BJ7 and BJ8 applicatons for this part.?

On a BJ8 a clamp goes on both the cold air hose and the air to blower hose. For the blower hose, the clamp screws into a hole above but behind the shock on the inner wheel well. Not 100% sure on the cold air hose, but I think it fits under the clamp that holds both the brake and clutch lines from the reservoir to the respective MCs, on the left inner wheel well. My cold air hose clamp is missing, but that seems to be the only hole that the screw would fit into to hold the clamp. An observation, neither hose will move very much if the clamps are missing.
