Who else is freezing out here on the left coast? I am off to the La Jolla show in the morning at 5 am and sooo not looking forward to it!
Cheers, David.
35F when I got up this morning. Hit maybe 50F here in LA, tops. I planned to go out bicycling a bit, kept putting it off until it got warmer, finally went out around 3:00 as it started to get colder.
Didn't even think about taking out the Bugeye.
Hey, I pay a lot to live here in Lotusland. I ain't gettin' my due!
I go to work at 5 AM.I have to defrost the
windshield (& locks)before I leave.
I did something to the door lock,& now it
won't lock ( on the MKIII Cortina).
GOR! As we were driving back to th' hovel in the Alfa, top down, T-shirts, 72*, I remarked I thought this was the only place in the country tonight where this was possible. Horsemits said it was to drop to 17* out there this evening. Sooo sorry! That's under the heading: "Cruel and Unusual" for sure.
We're finally getting some winter here too....It's a couple degrees below freezing and theres suppose to be a big winter storm hitting later this evening. Tomorrow morning's commute is gunna be interesting - if it's even possible.
Y'all are wimps... -16F when I got up this morning (-17F was the low last night). Never made it out of the single digits yesterday. It's warmed up to -10F right now.
I think I am now officially a Californian. Having moved from Boston, last year I was laughing at people here for complaining about 50 degree weather (t-shirt weather in Boston), now I am complaining /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif
Sorry, it's my fault. I'm in South Carolina and I decided to take So Cal's weather with me. It's beautiful here! I'll bring the weather back when I come home in a few days. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
19 here in Ukiah. Had to wear gloves to work on the son's truck. stopped working when the sun left the area. Haven't worked on any MGs because of no heat.
Bunch of girly men I tell ya. 30 degrees is still shorts weather in my book. I know over christmas I got a bunch of strange looks driving the B home on the freeway when it was in the low 30's one night. Still wearing shorts and a very light sweater and perfectly fine with the temp. My B stays topless year round. The only time the cool weather caused problems is when the new alt I had just put in failed at night after 20 miles and I had to shut down the heater fan and radio in order to get the 30 miles home. Still not that bad. Of course right now its -8 after a low of -18f last night. When it gets back above 0 its like being in the tropics again sorta in a twisted way (IE you can go outside with out your sinus's imploding)
