Some BRUTAL weather over on the right side...

Rick? Mike? Scott?

Mike here! We are OK down here so far!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif Have been watching and wondering about Rick and Scott since the tough stuff is up closer/right on top of them!!! Hope all is OK there. How has it been on the left coast? It looks like some heavy stuff was over there too! The news coverage paints a grim picture! The hope is that even though tornados like this are so devastating, they tend to cut a narrow path! Albeit across the whole state!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif

Thanks for the concern, lets keep fingers crossed for the others !!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Rick, Scott, Jack...be sure to check ing and give us a high five!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Ours was mild by comparison. Some 40 knot gusts and heavy rain in spurts. No biggie. Stayed up most of the night keepin' an eye on it all. No power "over there" in some areas.

Sounds like perfect boating conditions? A few of the Tivers that I have restored live in Jupiter...hope they are safe?
Cheers.

I'm still 1100 miles from home, but everyone says everything is fine. From what I see this reminds me of the storms in '98 - same kind of stuff.

Wave, be safe guys. Still nasty on TV.

Grantura, Jupiter is totally untouched and your Tivers must be safe! (Tequesta is just across the bridge from Jupiter). All is cool here!!

Glad top catch you online Jack, thought you might be in line for some nasty stuff too when I checked the weather after we logged off last night!!

Sure does look like '98 doesn't it Scott!! Unfortunately there may be more lives lost this time though!!

Miss Agatha says she was not even scared under her warm blanket.

Heh, before we go to bed wife asks if Miss Agatha is covered properly.

One must always tuck the dear ones in before retiring, eh Jack! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

PS Jack keep an eye on your mailbox Mon. or Tue. !! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Yup. Tornadoes are a real crap-shoot anyway. I got hit in Virginia around '93 by one that skipped around for a good 30 miles. It happens.

Watch how dry it'll be this spring and summer too. Can't wait for fire season /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

Deland/Lake George area has a swath 35 miles long cut thru it.

We're in KANSAS!!!

*sheesh*

Craig, I never realized how close to Jack you are till I looked at a map! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

The Foreman here just got off the phone with his sister. She lives in Lady Lake, Fla. Dog started barking at 3:00 A.M. and off to the closet they went. When it was over their house was missed but on the next street over everything is GONE! Real scary stuff seeing as they just flew back down there yesterday. Not so great timing for them. Hope you all are OK!

Have been thinking about you guys. Good to hear from you all (has everyone checked in?) We vacation in Volusia County often (New Smyrna Beach) and sounds as if they got hammered pretty hard too.

The worst part of the timing of this was that so many of the snowbirds are just arriving for the season. Homes that have been empty for a while may have just been occupied recently!! It just makes accounting for victims so much harder!!

Not all the NICE people are in Niceville! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

All's well in Orlando. Heavy weather just missed me. Shipped a B to Philly today and the driver was a day late. The car was outside (normally under cover). I was surprised that not much water leaked in. Thank God for duct tape.
