I see I made Jedi Warrior.

I'm surprised y'all let me have a weapon seeing I'm always accidentaly stepping on peoples toes. Now I'll be mistakenly lopping off folks apendages!!!

I've got one question that I haven't been able to figure out yet.

I get the Star Wars rank thing.

How'd the great pumpkin get in there?

What's the ranking system top to bottom?

Is it automotic, or something you earn?

(Tony's avatar really creeps me out for some strange reason, I don't know why. Nothing personal bro. Is that some kind of mythical woods sprirt thing like the "green man", or just a pumpkin peepin' around?)

Now lemme see how to switch this thing on......

..vrooooooom.....VROOOOOOOOM......VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM....AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH !!!!! :wall:

That's a built-in "feature" of the forum software th' Boss chose, there ain't much real meaning other than to indicate how prolific a poster one is (or how much time one wastes on th' 'pooter  ).

I have always thought it amusing that the very first time Luke picks up a lightsabre at Obi Wan's and starts swinging it around, it looks like he comes very close to slicing himself to ribbons (or at least taking off his own arm at the shoulder.)

It would have made for a very short movie:

<span style="font-style: italic">Obi:</span> "Your father's light-sabre. The weapon of a Jedi knight..."
<span style="font-style: italic">Luke:</span> "Cooool."
<span style="font-style: italic">Obi:</span> "No, not like that! Stop swinging it at <span style="font-style: italic">me</span>! You can't touch the blade! <span style="font-style: italic">Don't point it at your face</span>!!"
<span style="font-style: italic">Luke:</span> [zzzt] "AAAAAAH!!!"
<span style="font-style: italic">Obi:</span> [sighs] "I should have started with Leia."
<span style="font-style: italic">R2:</span> "Beep."

His light sabre turned on?? He obviously got one that wasn't made by Lucas.

Aw, but David, it was made by Lucas.
Only it was George that made it.

I wonder if there is a connection?

Dave

Could be...a Hugh Lucas was born in Belfast around 1834. He married Margaret Campbell. She was born in Armagh, Ireland around 1845. They had moved to England by 1862, where Hugh served in the British Military at Chatham Kent.

Maybe?

You made my day with that one.

But don't forget Obi-Wan was british - so likely had experience making it work. Though the Lucas angle could certainly explain aspects of the Millenium Falcon not starting till you hit the dashboard.

sigh.

long ago in a galaxy far far away - some things never change

Thought about you today, I had to go to Thibodeaux.

I forgot what it's like that far out.

Ah, Thibodaux, home of the 2nd bloodiest labor dispute in US history...did you carry your own pistol or stop by the highway patrol office in Kenner & pick one up before you headed out to cajun country?
