While not a Triumph, I think some folks will get a chuckle out of this as well as question my sanity. I got home from work this afternoon and thought I'd just take a peek under the hood to see if anything was frozen. It was a fifteen mile drive. It is currently eight degrees and snowing.
This is the front carb on my Morris. Right behind the "warm" radiator. That is a nce thick coat of frost covering it. Thought folks in warmer areas might enjoy this.It supposed to be even colder tomorrow. Looks like a sub-zero drive to work. These LBCs are tough!

Hey Bruce,

You'd better get some Water Wetter in that car, it could go at any minute! You know how these cars like to overheat.

In a Triumph, you stay warm from the heat leaking through the transmission cover.

Seriously, I like driving my TR250 with the top up on cold, salt-free days. It always starts easily, and I don't have to worry about overheating like on those 80 degree-plus days. It makes me smile and look ahead to spring.

Have fun,

I have to laugh that you mention the transmission based heating system.

For a year I didn't have my heater control or fans hooked up, but was hot as can be from the leak there! I designed a gasket that fixed it, but few people do.

Shawn,

Yeah, compared to what it's like today it'll seem like a regular heat wave.
