Thats funny! Same thing happened on an episode of "Friends". Joey was up for an acting award, and was so certain that he was going to win that he almost forgot to practice his "it's a pleasure to be nominated" smile. Naturally, he doesn't win, and the cameras show him yelling at Rachael and gesticulating wildly. At which point she reminds him of the cameras, and he smiles and applauds.

Thats disappointing to see.....I am a pretty big fan of country music, some of it anyway...Faith and Carrie are both great musicians but I wasn't surprised to see carrie win that. I had alot of respect for faith hill prior to this, still do to some degree and still enjoy her music.
 
Sorta makes ya wonder, though: Whatever happend to "Western"?

I guess it comes down to the fact that no matter who you are your still human...I know I've done the "WHAT!!" at a few car show results before realizing where I was back in my younger days.

I always liked Faith Hill but then she when off & married that Tim McGraw guy. But this is pretty funny. I couldn't be happier for Carrie.

I've been listening to these guys! Not "Western" but definatly not "Nashville Pop" either
"Tell it to me" is My favorite of thiers (so far)
and these guys are neat too. I can't understand most of the lyrics (unless I listen to them over and over) but I really like the sound they have.
My username should have given you a clue... hehehehehe

I found it hard to believe that Faith would react that way - she's always been a class act in the past. This morning I see a story out where she says she was joking:

"The idea that I would act disrespectful towards a fellow musician is unimaginable to me," Hill said in a statement. "For this to become a focus of attention given the talent gathered is utterly ridiculous. Carrie is a talented and deserving Female Vocalist of The Year."

Maybe she was just poking fun at Kanye West and his actions at last week's MTV Europe Music Awards
 
Perhaps, but even in jest, to make yourself the focus during someone else's moment is classless.
