We have a '68 F250 that isn't driven most
of the time.I started it up two days ago,as I
was taking it to a Blacksmith's shop to have a
receiver welded to the Barden bumper, that's weld-
ed to the frame.
Anyway,I started it up,& heard a gurgling
noise (I thought it was the heater),so I shut off
the engine.
There was motor oil everywhere.I looked down
& noticed that the filter was loose.I retightened
it,added oil,& restarted it.Still leaking.
Then I remember that I'd bought a spare filter,
so I swapped them out,added oil,& ...no leaks!I look-
ed at the filter & noticed that the o ring was par-
tialy loose.
I told the partsman at the parts store about it,
& he said to bring the old one in,& he'd replace it.
Has anyone ever had this happen to them?
