Beginning the process of refurbishing side vent door window for my 1973 Midget. The rubber seal is about 1/4 inch longer than the original and 1/4 inch longer than the inner fitment of the quarter light assembly. Anyone else find this to be so? I'm thinking my option is to 'cut' out a 1/4 inch section for proper fitment, with just a bit of adhesive at the cut ends to the inner frame. Any thoughts? (item 84, page 54 Moss Midget catalog).
Incidently, that extra 1/4 inch does not allow a seal to the glass, it 'accordians' at the bottom, and around the curve of the glass.
