Don't Look If You Like Brit Cars

It's sad to see restorable cars (some in really good shape),bought to be destroyed.

Brit rednecks! Love it!

Instead of "Hey, y'all, watch this!", it's "'Ello, gov, 'ave a look!"

I wonder if this concept developed as training beds for aspiring double-deck (Omnibus) drivers?

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/iagree.gifThat's the first thing I thought of too!!! I'm not sure I get it though?????? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazyeyes.gif

What's to get? It's certainly no dumber than racing in motorhomes!

I don't get that either!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif But, then again, I am sure there are people out there who will race just about anything! I just wonder who/how came up with the idea of stacking cars on top of each other to race them, and what's the point?!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazyeyes.gif

I was wondering what I was watching when the video started. Then I assumed that the cars on top were stacked and would somehow be launched but it seemed they are welded or in some way attached.

Goofy stuff but probably fun.

Isn't this the racing in which one driver controls the steering while the other controls the throttle and brakes?

Ah, now it all starts to make sense...

You mean there's a driver in the top car?? Man, I would hate to be that guy when those things roll over (tip over??), that's a long way to hit the road from!!

So, what's the purpose?

Tony:

I think it would be best if we did not delve too deeply into the purpose of motorsports in this forum.

I know the purpose of "Motorsports".....So, lemme rephrase my 'tongue-in-cheek' question: What's the purpose of this abomination 'cause it definitely isn't "Motorsports"!

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif A bit of sanity and reason!!!! What would it be? A circus act methinks!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Whoa - slippery slope warning.

Is drifting a motor sport?

Are demolition derbies motorsport?

Tractor pulls?

Burn-out 'competitions' where you spin your wheels until the tires pop?

Moped racing?

Hospital bed racing.... BED

Exactly--

And I'm sure that plenty of NASCAR fans think that racing in 50-60 year old cars that were slow when they were new is silly.

Personally I would love to drive in a demolition derby--it would be the ultimate bumper car.

I guess we are all to some degree or another raceaholics! Beating somebody else in something similar to what one is running is what it is all about! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
