So at carlisle i picked up a set of DCOE's i was putting the linkage on today and realized that there is now where in the directions they tell you to put the the Throttle cable. Any suggestion? if you mount it on on of the the throttle lever you will be pulling instead of pushing and that dont work. i thought you might be able to mount it underneath the manifold and have it pull down some how. any suggestion will be helpful

This is an interesting question as I also have in my parts bin a single 40DCOE complete with manifold, stacks and K&N filter, and no throttle linkage. I was also wondering how to rig up the throttle cable.

Supposing for just an instant that it's a good idea to replace the twin HS2s with a single 40DCOE (and there are at least 92 schools of thought on that), you can see in this pic there is the operating lever but nothing to "attach" it to. There is another similar lever attached to the other end of the same shaft.

The fuel union is missing too, but I guess this is easy to replace...

NEOPHYTES!!!

Find an old Atari computer, cob the aluminium frame bits...

I'll post a few photos t'morrow of various cable attaching schemes. But be warned: Most involve pots, pans, old refrigerators, children's toys...

i have an extra set of fuel union if you need them. because the linkae kit i order came with them and i order a set of unions seperate think they didn;t come with the carb. No has far as the linkage goes i order my from https://www.carburetion.com/Weber/weberlinkage.asp

One thing that i did find wrong, mine being a Dual Dcoe Kit is the kit that they offer, the Rod is to short. luckly i had a longer rod from the old Linkage. i plain on installing this today i tell you how it turns out

I am not averse to improvisation, lead me to it. I'll be somewhat restricted on computer access for the next week or so but will try to connect daily.

No unfortunately I was unable to make it, my son was running at his high school's State Athletic meet, and there wasn't really much of a choice.

I would have liked to be there, maybe next year.

My car is not a concours car, it is a driver. The only thing that is really unique about this car is that it is a 1958, is 99% rust-free, still has its original paintwork, but still manges to look pretty.
