Count the bangs

That was amazing - I hope no one was injured

Bumper cars!!!

Slip Slidin' Away (Paul Simon)

When I was in Great Falls, MT for 7 years we got used to driving on stuff like that. Accidents still happened, but by and large people knew how to drive on that stuff.

Why am I not getting video with this? I get the sound, but no sight!

It's a pretty sad statement with regard to average driving skills under adverse conditions. What I seem to see is a complete lack of sense on the part of ~EVERY~ SUV driver in that. The first one kept hitting the accelerator!! Hope his insurance company cancels his (or her) sorry butt. Too bad stupidity is not a chargeable offense. Only one worth a whit was the Honda pilot. Seems HE navigated a left turn without mangling anything.

GGGRRRRR!!

Whew! Just went over to youtube and watched it...Does it remind anyone else of watching curling?

I wonder if the first driver - and maybe one of the others - was recovering from air bag detonation & just unaware of what was happening. There was some dumb driving, though.

I think the best way to handle that kind of slickness is to just park it.

If not curling then the olds style pinball machines! Bing! Bang! Bong!

Unbelievable!!! I doubt the cautious driver with the four way flashers on helped. I think he/she was just saying, "Hey, I'm here, hit me."

If I were one of the 'parked' vehicles, I'd be praying and making every effort to join the 'roof' camera people.

Mike, how do I find it on Youtube?

We see incompetent SUV drivers on a regular basis. Too many don't understand that 4WD/AWD is good to get you going and turning but doesn't help a bit when it comes to stopping in slick conditions. On ice, the extra weight in those SUV's becomes your enemy as well. Add ice onto sloped surfaces with that weight and all the electronic traction control in the world won't stop you once you loose it. Your just along for the ride at that point.

The 'floor it till it goes' attitude is also prevalent with these people. It is fun to watch them 'dig in' and get stuck when they do so though. I'm told its rude to point and laugh though. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Thanks, Mike!

Reminds me of an older video arcade game (early 80's) called Astroids. You control this little triangular ship in space which has a thruster in the back and try to blast the astroid before they wipe you out. The first guy doesn't have any clue on how to use the thruster or direction arrows and consequently gets a very low score /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif

ha .. did a quick search and found the following .. scroll down for astroids!

If you want to see a bit more of the video, complete with the questions from the anchors and comments by the viewer who shot the footage, go to this link:

FYI...according to folks in the know who live in the area, this happened on a street with a very steep incline....absolutely nothing one could do once you committed to turning onto the street...but it's still kinda fun to watch!

The accelerator crazy pinball SUV made the NBC morning show.
