I've been having to change my fuel filter about once a month when I use costco gas in my triumph. i had been using chevron, but with costco 30cents a gallon cheaper i started using costco gas. none of my other cars has problems with costco gas.

the local costco sells about 3 to 5 tanker trucks a day of gas, so it isn't a problem with old gas or water. anybody else having problems with costco gas in our little cars?

I also use Costco gas. Never a problem...

Have you contacted the local(where you buy your gas) Costco manager???

I thought they had in place a system that tells the gas flow/slower flow=contaminates.....

If the manager is aware of complaints I think he would(at least my experience with Costco, and Price Club before they became Costco, is beneficial... They have always made an extra effort to resolve concerns/problem.

Other alternative is that maybe there is something in your tank/lines that is cloggin the system... How old is the tank? Has it ever been cleaned?

oh yes, I cleaned the tank when I took the car down for an engine swap. It's only costco gas that I seem to have problems with. I was thinking today that maybe costco's additives aren't very good for metal fuel tanks.

Not saying that this is the problem, but I had a similar problem years ago with a Ford Bronco I had. I didn't know it but just before I bought gas at a station I've done business with for years, a truck load of gas was just put in the stations underground tank. Evidently the tank was very low and when it was filled, it stirred up a very fine light brown powder like material that had collected on the bottom of the tank. It was so fine that it passed through the filter on the bronco and screwed up the carburetor big time. It had the consistency of flour. I had to flush the complete system to get it out. Once done I never had that problem again. Needless to say, I never bought gas there anymore. PJ

Interesting. My Cayenne was running crappy. Poor acceleration. First thing the dealer asked was if I was using Costco gas. Said yes and the instructed me to use Chevron for a few tanks to see the difference. Big difference! My wife still uses it in her 4-Runner with no problems.

Please contact the folks at Costco...

I am sure that if there is a problem with their gas, they would like to know, so they can correct that problem..

This is not a new issue. Many European cars have trouble with it.
