Correct Size Steering Wheel

I'm at the end of a six year restoration of my BJ7. It is presently fitted with the standard factory steering wheel, which is so big I find it hard to drive the car (I'm 6' tall and have to keep my legs splayed to drive it). I'm thinking of swapping it out for a smaller Moto Lita, but am not sure if I want 13", 14" or 15" (I don't know the diameter of the factory wheel). I 'm open to suggestions from the group.

The smaller the steering wheel diameter, the more effort is need to turn it when going slow. Think parking. Most go with the 15" The stock banjo steering wheel is 16 1/2".

You might consider taking some of the padding out of front or bottom of the seat to help you with leg clearance at the steering wheel.
