Carb overflow

I was cleaning up the engine bay in Binabox the other night for my trip to Kansas City this weekend. Was brought to my attention that my carbs don't have overflow tubes on them in case a float sticks and pukes gas. Gas will go right onto my purdy manifold and *POOF* Binabox is Crispy Critter.

Hmmm.

How can I fix that? Chuck has already left for Indianapolis for the NHRA drag races this weekend.

Also, I can't get the danged rear view mirror on. The 'original' that clamps to the center rod. It keeps slipping, like it's too loose.

If you don't have the original overflows, you can fabricate some from brake line. Use fuel hose to connect them to the carb bowls.

A couple of hoses dangled so they aren't touching the exhaust, and in the case of fuel puking, would let the fuel just come out onto the ground.

Brake line or fuel hose? I thought I could run to one of the auto parts stores and buy 3 or 4 feet of quarter inch fuel hose.

Just let it dump out onto the ground? That's not very environmentally correct, is it?

Rubber fuel hose.

But it works. Should not pass fuel anyway, is just for when a carb goes west.
