I was at a friend's house today and a Bond movie was playing in the backround. Connery was being driven by a Japanese woman in Japan in a white RHD convertable with wire wheels. My friend said it was a Toyota. Anyone know what it was?
Oh, the woman's name was Tiger.

Sat next to a 2000gt red light after red light across half of Tokyo a couple of years back.
The open version was a Bond one-off as far as I recall,
much prefer the regular coupe.
Asolutely gorgeous! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

That James Bond movie made the Toyota 2000GT so famous that the Mazda Cosmo had no chance competing against it!

I've personally met the owner of THIS DEALERSHIP!! He's THE go-to guy in the USA for Toyota 2000 GTs. Check out the 4th car down in his inventory.
P.S. "You Only Live Twice" Good Flick!

Gee, I used to know a guy in Tucson back in about '74, that had a red one that he paid about 1500 bucks for. I sure hope he hung on to it, given todays prices!

only price I saw was the last one on Ben's link.... 249,000... Ouch... It "was" on my "maybe one day" list... now it's on my "would love to have it - after I win the lottery" list.

Toyota asked Carrol Shelby to manage their racing effort in the US with the 2000GT. Not many realize that Shelby American did more than Cobras, Mustangs and GT40's.

kenny, ya realy want one? check out ebay item # 250066296209 about $48.00 even has "tiger" driving it, r/h drive, what the heck ya "only live twice" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

There was one that I looked at (& sat in) at
the Toyota dealer in Concord,Calif.,in the mid '70's.
I think that they were asking $7000 for it.Cool car!
