Looks like a stator plate from a windshield wiper motor....
Just my best guess.

The long lost Kanutant valve? Gyro flexometer? Electromagnetic knock relay? Or maybe not......

OMG!!!
You haven't touched that thing, have you??? The little grey bits at the ends of the wires are made of pure horrifium. They emit vast amounts of deadly radiation!

(Umm, no. I don't know what it is, either... but it does have that stator plate ambiance.)

You don't say what we win if we guess right, but somebody already said Flux Capacitor, which is my best guess, though the windsheild wiper motor brushes make sense what with the third brush. That may be for the "park" circuit.

Well, it's got three spring loaded brushes, two of which appear to be live, but the mystery lies in what's on the other side of that plate and where the third brush is going. That hole looks to be about the size of a wiper armature winding, so I tend to agree with Elliot.

Hi guys - thanks for all the ideas. LOL on the flux capacitor....

Elliot's idea got me digging and I think it is the brush assembly from a TR6 wiper motor. Part #EJ3, what do you think?

The third brush threw me.... my '73 wiper motor only had two brushes.
But, in the case that I am right, let me know and I can forward my bank routing numbers for you to transfer the BIG PRIZE MONEY

Did earlier wipers use three?

And yes, I need your routing numbers because you have unclaimed prize. No, make that you are the National Lottery winner. No, wait, I only have a larger check that the amount you won so just cash the international check and send me the balance back...

For a moment I thought you were one of those guys from Nigeria sending out the scam letters offering to give me a cut of the funds if I just transfer it to my account.
I'll just be patient and wait for the knock at the door with the large check, balloons and the media.... that is you, right?

And yes guys, this was an honest to goodness straight forward question!

Awww. What fun is that?
BTW -- you really should see a doctor, if you've been handling that thing with your bare hands!
