buy my Jensen Healeys!

Photos are HUGE!!

Too bad you are out of my combat radius. It would be nice to have a couple parts cars. No title means no title ever here in KY so I guess they'd are parts cars. (of course Tony could fix in in AL) The low oil pressure and bottom end sound is probably fatal for that engine due to economics. These cars are real rust magnets so the rust free body (ies?) would be a nice find for those with rusty hulks and well worth the opening bid.

Have a nice day
Steve

I don't know what happened to the photo size. I'm not too happy about that. It won't let me change it either, stoopid e-bay... The no title on the Califonia car if no big deal around here. I'd just have to bond for it. Pretty easy thing to do.

Connecticut dosen't issue titles on cars this old, but supposedly with a bill of sale I can get a title in Ohio. Every state is different it seems.

If only you were closer. I'll own a JH one day.

You need a line break between each photo (use the <BR> tag).

I had a big title problem with an Ohio car a few years ago. I ended up losing big time on it. Unless they changed the law, Ohio is a no/no state too.

Crap-crap-crap! Should I be worried, my reserve was met but the high bidder has 0 feedback and is located in Denmark... How long would you guys wait to re list?

I'd contact ebay...

Sure sounds suspicious. The shipping cost would far exceed the value or at least the bid amount. Tony's right. Contact eBay to refuse the bid without some recourse. Probably wouldn't be any anyway though.

Whoa whoa WHOA... don't get ahead of yourself. Just because he's in Denmark "overseas" doesn't make him a criminal.

If he sends you the money into your bank account, you have a deal, right? No money, then no deal. Explain to me what the risk is to you? He's the one taking the risk (because he pays you first), not you. My friend sold his pristine Austin Healey 3000 sight unseen to a buyer in Budapest... he got his cash first so... deal done. Who cares if the car went to "Eastern Europe."

Give him your TT details (bank info) and when you get the money (it'll take about 3 days) you ship him the cars. Either that or you can request he sends you cash via Western Union or International Money Order.

simple really.

FYI Jensen Healeys were mostly sold in the US and UK only. They will be very rare in Europe, it is easy to understand why someone in Denmark would want the car and is willing to pay for the shipping.

It's not the "Denmark" part so much as the "0" feedback/new user that bothers me. Oh yeah, his last name is Jensen too. I sold a car a couple years ago to a guy in Bulgaria of all places. He responded right away. I still haven't seen a response to my email and it's been almost 24hrs. I just smell BS all over this transaction.(spoken like an ebay vetran) I just view it as a waste of my time and I really could use the $$$.

Hey, I've been to Bulgaria several times. Sofia is great fun!!!!!

!Q

Eh? Sold an '02 Kia Cinco to a Bulgarian army Major... 96hp is a low-tax vehicle. Poor guy couldn't import his Focus since it was 130hp... Anyway, sorry to rush to judge, but the buyer appears to be real. "4 cars to a container!" Check is in the mail! Good to here that #10503 will be back on the road like a real car instead of dead here. Talked to the guy about 1/2 hr and it should be a done deal, and yes, his real last name is Jensen!

Re: !Q

I'd give it a couple of days. I sold a Healey and a Jag on eBay that went overseas with no problems. It does take time. The only problems I've had have been with US buyers.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

With that info he can just as easily transfer money out as he can transfer it in!! READ: EMPTY THE ACCOUNT!!

Re: !Q

If you are worried about him emptying your account rather than sending you money you could open up an accoount with zero or minimal dollars in it.

If you really don't want the guy to bid I believe you can always cancel a bid search Ebay help on cancel bids, both the buyer and seller have this option last I checked

Re: !Q

I didn't give out any bank info. I'm way too paranoid to do that. I told him PayPal. He said he would just send me a check. Apparently he has a bank account in of all places Michigan. I see the $$$ and I ship the cars. Seems legit. He said it was going to be about $4k to ship the cars.(yes, he bought 2 others) He he, that's alot of money for my two $500 cars. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif I've done worse... Weirder things happen tho regarding where vehicles wind up. I have a friend who collects WWII era BMW bikes. He bought a bike(a very rare 2wd with a powered side car) in Canada. The guy who sold it to him was retired German Special Forces and had found the bike in the Czech Republic on vacation. The bike had been abandoned by the Germans. The villagers took the bike apart and hid from the Soviets for God only knows how long. Dude imported the thing to Canada after he moved there and totally restored it. I felt pretty bad when we picked it up because the guy was crying as we loaded it on the trailer. Germany to Czech Republic to Vancouver to Detroit. Funny the way that works... Now if I could only get my hands on a 1972 Australian built Ford Falcon.(preferably black) That would rock!
