To everyone - my apologies for not getting pictures out

I got the pics, that is so sad. Going to be a hard restoration. Just getting it apart is going to be a labor of love.

If it was close by a $100 would be about right.

Jack,

It wasn't THAT bad.For $500,you usually get a complete pile of rust.I think that (after looking at the car) that
$500 was a good price for it.For $1500 (original asking price),I'd have passed on it.
Sorry if it seems that I'm taking that personaly,
but you had to see the car in person before you make judgement.

Maybe I am just a bit burnt out after the last year and a half fighting rust and such on every part. If I was going to do it again I would have a blast cabnet for sure.

I agree, any bugeye that is mostly all there is worth 500 bucks. So many little parts that are just impossable.

&, who................

Sure glad he has a digital camra. This is going to be some project.

Good luck Paul!

For $500 it is not a bad buy, but the real story will be told after it is sandblasted and has the rust and bondo removed. I'm wondering why the front of the bonnet is so rusty, but other lower portions are showing much less rust... Has the rust been covered up, or was the bonnet sitting in the mud?

Ok
I could not resist. The car needs a lot of love but, I think I can make it work with the skills I'm learning on my TR. Doug was nice enough to pickup a 48 TR 1800 motor for my dads '48 in Wa and bring it down to Eureka. Since I hve to make the trip with a trailer whats adding an extra 1000lb of steel (some rust)etc to the trip. I've been really looking for an AH and if the hood can not be restored I really like the look of the Walker Bonnet from Speedwell. I'll post some pictures when I get the the car down here. I'll have lots of questions. Lucky me I've got the list to help out.

Paul

P.S. It needs seats!
