Bugeye carpet installation help

I need help...again. I have never installed carpets before. The kit I bought from Moss does not fit well, and did not come with instructions. Anyone know of a source for instructions? I didn't see anything in Wiki. Is this something I should leave for a professional? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

where doesn't it fit Kevin? (and could this mean you have the wrong kit?) If you have to cut into binding there is something wrong, if you only have to trim carpet, that is pretty standard. On Ms Triss, the only thing that didn't immediately and obviously fit was the rear pieces around the wheel humps. My wife who sews helped with "darts" wedges she cut out to make it go around the curve. Can you tell us what specifically doesn't fit or post some pictures?

This is definitely a DIY project if you go one step at a time

I rechecked my order and it is correct. No where do I have to cut into the binding. Maybe my inexperience is the problem. I didn't think you had to trim anything to make it fit. I recently bought a kit for my TR6 (I have yet to install)and the pieces seem to fit perfectly.

To give you an example, on the transmission tunnel there are two pieces of carpet. On the back piece there is no cut out for the hand brake, and where it butts up against the back wall, it is not cut at the correct angle as it meets the back wall. There is plenty of material on all pieces to trim to make them fit. The biggest nightmare are the wheel well pieces, which are carpet. My car looks like it originally had vinyl type pieces for the wheel wells which would have been much easier to install. Since it looks like I will be doing some cutting then, are there special scissors I would need? Any tips on what type of glue I should use? Any other suggestions? I plan on taking pictures as I go. I wish I could examine another Bugeye to see how it was done.
