BN6-7 Trunk Board

Hi all,
Would anyone happen to have a pattern for the wooden board that sits on top of the fuel tank in the boot of a BN7. The one I removed is in terrible condition and not original. Possibly a drawing or sketch with dimensions?

Thanks much,

Paul

I made mine slightly larger than the tank. I had to make a cutout for the filler neck, the fuel outlet and the two rear strap holders. I then rounded the corners and painted it black. I suggeat cutting out a cardboard template and adjust till you like the fit. Then using the template cutout your wood. It then goes under the black matte.

Unfortunately, no. I had a ral nicely reproduced one from a cabinet maker from 3/4" thick Ash plywood (!). My brother lost it when the car was in his hands for a couple years.

I do remember some of the details though; it extended well past the fuel tank on the side of the fuel filler, and had a hinged lid to (allow insertion through the trunk lid opening) that covered the well on the driver's side. The jack & tool roll/hammer could be hidden under the cover in the well.

I too would be interested in getting a pattern from someone that has a decent enough trunk board.
