Auto cross tire pressure

Little Red is going out to play this Saturday at a local auto cross. I am running HT200 tires and am wondering about tire pressure.(highside, low side or average?) Anyone with auto cross experience, please speak up. Sunny day is forecast with temps in the high 70 low 80 range.

Pump,em up! Just go have fun and don't try to over think it.

Add several lbs to both front and rear. If nothing else it will save your side walls.

X2 on what Jack said. Add pressure and get some white shoe polish or white chalk and mark the tires. Use this to check for roll over on the side wall and adjust to get the handling you like. You can take an air tank and tire pressure gauge and record your results so you'll know where to start next time. Most of all have fun!

I've autocrossed those tires (they're not my favourite, but still, you'll have fun).

I'd start with 32 to 34 psi all around (cold). Try to check pressure right after you stop and attempt to get them "even" from side to side. The white shoe polish method is a good idea too.

You'll end up with a four pound differential, 28~30 front, 32~34 rear.

No expert, but on a live axle LBC I usually run the fronts 2-4 pounds more than the rears, theory to reduce understeer and not cause axle hop on the firmly sprung rear end.

I'm no expert either, but since he has a '67 with semi-elliptical springs I'd wager he'll want the rears inflated a bit more.
