Austin Healey 100S bronze plate relisted on ebay

Rare bronze dashboard plate from the original that was attached to the 100S. Reproduction, carefully engraved to the highest standard. Correct in every aspect including font and depth.
A great piece of Austin Healey automobilia as 'of the 55 built, at least 37 are still in existance' ( Original Austin Healey by Anders Clausager)

Keep as a collectable, or attach it to your Healey's passenger side of the dashboard, just to remind your passengers that a similar car had bettered over 140mph at Bonneville in Utah!

I wonder how harsh the bonneville salts are to british steel?

Very harsh! GCH says in one of his books that despite washing the cars down after running them, they rotted away very quickly and were scrapped - that's why none of the record breakers still exist.

Naw John J, it was cuz they were so bloody fast and had no heat shields.Consequently, they burned up.I think about those runs every time I scramble an egg.---Keoke- /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

healey 100 s,nice piece of memorabilia,they are"repros" from an original,are they not?cant seem to pull the item up from ebay.

I was almost thinking a bronze memorial company could probably turn out a few of them pretty cheaply (after the setup cost of course).

So they are repros.
