I was reading about the 50 years of spridgets and wondering how many of those here at the forum are planning to attend. Sounds like a once in a lifetime type of deal. Tossing it around myself.
Every year my wife and I go on a trip for our anniversary. Last year was southern Colorado, this year is Las Vegas (guilty pleasure), next year will be the Sprite 50. Supposed to be a beautiful area, and the Sprite anniversary will only come around once. I think my wife finds the entire thing a bit silly, but even she agreed that a town full of little Sprites and Midgets would be worth seeing. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
My wife was understanding, since it's only once. I won't suggest any auto-realted trips for many years to come though. I figure I've used up my one pass.
Thanks, Jack. I'm hoping to find one that can double as a yard trailer -- after all, I don't plan on towing Tunebug much. I could but a grand together in the spring, that seems reasonable. There's got to be a similar place here in Utah that can do the work.
Sounds like there will be some great fun to be had. And i do like the comment of a town full of Spridgets. That would be something to see. I would love to get my mainstream car road worthy enough by than rather than take bondo buggy but either would definatlly proove for a fun week. Anybody have the link to the website with all th info? I can't seem to find it.
yesterday, when I was talking to the Spridget guys at the CT show, they mentioned another 50th Anniversary show somewhere in the Northeast. Unfortunately, I don't remember the details. I assume that many clubs will be incorporating the 50th anniversary into their programs. I dunno!
I've been upgrading Turbo-Bugsy for the event and plan to drive it out from N. CA. Two new pistons, new manifold, brake rebuild, suspension check, cruise control, I-pod friendly stereo. I'm already lining up what I would want in a road-kit. Should be a heck of a drive.
