Hi,
Well, it's not the same car pictured in the previous scam (that was a white TR3A). But, that might not mean anything since the photos being used in that previous scam apparently had just been lifted from an auction or somewhere else on the Internet. The same or a different scammer might just as easily have gotten another set of photos to use in a new scam. (So, it's certainly a good idea for you to ask here, where someone might recognize the car and know whether or not it's for sale.)
An escrow company is a good idea, too, but I think there have been a few instances where fake ones were part of the scam. So, as I'm sure you are aware, use a reputable and well-known escrow company!
Heck, if it were me, I'd want to see and touch the car before handing over my cash, even if it meant taking a plane ride. I suspect cost of a plane ticket might be about the same as an escrow company's services, anyway!
Hope the deal works out for you without any problems!
The old adage, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.", is far more applicable ever since Al Gore invented the Internet.
