Anyone have vintage race pictures?

I've seen some ralley pictures, I'm interested in those, but also road race pictures if anyone has some they can share. I'm interested to see how they were dressed out.

I have a bunch of B&W's, some Torrey Pines, some March, some Santa Barbara, some of race/ralleye/attendee's cars en-route (including a gull-wing on the early SoCal freeway in the desert).
One looks like a Mexican Police Officer standing by the track, so who knows.

My Uncle pit crewed at most of those places, and took the photos.

They are all B&W prints, about 5X7 size. Once, before I had a decent scanner, someone scaned them....but they saved them too small for good detail.
Got the small ones in my confuser, if your e-mail is listed in your profile, I'll send them.

If you follow this thread here you'll find some great pictures of Forrest 'Bud' Dana and his Chevy 100-6 in the 1960 Nassau 250.

When was the last time a Healey led a 'near' Grand Prix from a Le Mans start with Ferrari Testarossas and Lotus 19s in the race :yesnod:

Rick, that site was great! Thanks for the pics Dave, here was the best one.

It looks like Healeys were mainly competing in SCCA track events, without factory teams / sponsors and such.

HealeyZ,

I probably have a couple hundred SCCA pics from '57 to '73, taken at midwest and eastern US tracks. I can email or post a few. Here's one of my dad's 100 in 57 prior to roll bars and seatbelts being mandated. Being safety minded he'd installed a set of surplus military belts.

That is a photo of the Sebring car as newly restored by it's Dutch owners. What I don't understand is why they painted it that colour. The original cars were Healey Blue and this looks like a kind of non-metallic airforce blue. I saw it at LeMans last year.

I don'y have pics, but remember looking at a book a couple times, "American Racing: Portrait of the 50s and 60s" Tom Burnside, Denise McCluggage, I didn't buy it, but I remember it had lots of pictures of 100s in SCCA racing in the 50s, not sure about rally pics though.

Dougie, Thanks, those are awesome. My next project will probably be an early Ferrari TR replica of some sorts, so that link got put in my "next project" folder.
