Anyone ever remove windshield feet on 100-4

Hey all,
I am going to replace the tired windshield feet with some nice polished aluminum ones from AH Spares ( got them unpolished but polished up very nicely) - for you non 100-4 Healey guys that is where the folding windshield mates up to when folded down - trying to determine how to get to them. Anyone recall how they installed them when doing a restoration ? I can't see how to get to them from inside the engine compartment and hoping not the sort of thing that means removing the front wings ! If that is the case, may rethink putting in the new ones and standing pat.

If you are referring to the sockets that the pins go into when you fold the screen flat, they are held in place by the wing bolts and just pinched between the wing and the shroud. Loosen the wing and they should pop out. I'm a little foggy as to whether or not they have holes drilled through them (there would be two per side) or what I think I recall is that the bottom of each hole is cut away so they can be installed after the bolts are started. The Moss catalog shows some detail, but not enough to see that. I think I'm remembering correctly about the cut-outs.

just removed my yesterday no holes just two two cutouts loosen wing bolts will come out.

Thanks Jon and Dan for your info - now will look to see how tough to get to the wing bolts !!! The new ones have the large cut outs on the bottom so obviously just slide over the wing nuts and are held in place when tightened up.
